Drain cleaning for slow and clogged drains in Tampa Bay

A slow drain rarely fixes itself, and the clog is often not where the water is backing up.

Drain cleaning

What can we fix?

A kitchen sink that gurgles can be grease built up well past the trap. Water rising in the tub when the toilet flushes is a sign to check the main line, not the tub. Many older Tampa Bay homes still drain through the original cast iron pipe under the slab, and cast iron scales up and narrows from the inside as it ages, so clogs in those homes tend to come back. We clear the line, then tell you why it clogged. When a clog keeps returning, we run a camera down the line so you can see what we see before you decide on anything. If your home is on septic, we check that too, because a full tank can look exactly like a clogged drain.

  • Sink clogs

Grease, food, hair and soap build up in the trap and the pipe behind it. We clear the line itself, not just the trap, so it drains at full speed again.

  • Toilet clogs

A toilet that clogs often can be a partial blockage in the line, a worn out toilet or a vent problem. We find out which one before we suggest a fix.

  • Main line backups

Several drains slow at once, or water coming up in a tub or shower, is a sign to check the main line. We clear it from the cleanout and check how far the blockage reaches.

  • Camera inspection

For clogs that keep coming back, we run a camera through the line and show you the roots, scale, sag or broken section on screen.

  • Tub and shower drains

Hair and soap scum are the usual cause. We clear the drain and make sure the stopper and drain parts are not part of the problem.

How pricing works

What will it cost?

The owner walks the job and gives you the price in writing before any work starts. If the camera shows a bigger problem in the line, you get that price separately and decide then.

We don't post prices online, because the right fix depends on what we find in your home.

Questions we get

Questions about drain cleaning.

Why does my drain keep clogging after I clear it?

When a clog comes back, we look at two things: whether the last clearing removed the whole blockage, and whether the pipe itself is the problem, such as scale inside older cast iron, roots or a low spot in the line. A camera inspection shows which one you have.

Is a slow drain in every room a main line problem?

It can be. When several fixtures drain slowly at the same time, or water comes up in the tub or shower when you flush, we check the main line first, because it carries everything out of the house. If you are on septic, we check the tank too.

What should I keep out of my drains?

Cooking grease and oil go in the trash, not the sink. In the toilet, flush only toilet paper, which means no wipes of any kind. If your home is on septic, this matters even more, because grease and wipes end up in the tank.

Can you come out today for a clogged drain?

We aim for same day. We book appointments Mon to Sat, 7am to 6pm; call or book online and we will give you the earliest window we have, and we call ahead before we arrive.
