Leak repair and slab leaks in Tampa Bay homes

Many leaks show up slowly: a water bill that creeps higher, a stain on the ceiling, a cabinet floor that stays damp, or the sound of water running when nothing is on.

Leak repair

What can we fix?

Many Tampa Bay homes sit on a concrete slab, and the water lines often run under or through the floor, so a leak there can show up as a warm spot on the tile, a damp patch of carpet or a new crack in the floor. The first job is finding exactly where the water is going, so nothing gets opened up on a guess. We show you the leak, explain your options, and give you the price in writing. For a slab leak, that usually means choosing between repairing that one spot and rerouting the line so the floor stays intact. If water is spreading right now, shut off the main valve and call us.

  • Slab leaks

Leaks in the pipes under your concrete floor. We locate the leak first, then walk you through repairing it in place or rerouting the line through the walls or attic.

  • Supply lines and shutoff valves

The hoses and small valves under sinks and behind toilets wear out, drip and sometimes burst. We replace the bad one and check the others while we are there.

  • Leaks in walls and ceilings

Stains, bubbling paint or soft drywall mean water is escaping somewhere above or behind. We trace it to the source and open only what we need to.

  • Pinhole and corroded pipe leaks

Older copper can develop pinhole leaks, and older galvanized pipe corrodes from the inside. We fix the leak and tell you plainly if the rest of the pipe is close behind.

  • Fixture and water heater leaks

Dripping faucets, a toilet leaking at the base, or water around the water heater. We stop the leak and tell you whether the fixture is worth repairing.

How pricing works

What will it cost?

The owner walks the job and gives you the price in writing before any work starts. We show you the leak first, so you know what you are paying to fix.

We don't post prices online, because the right fix depends on what we find in your home.

Questions we get

Questions about leak repair.

How do I know if I have a slab leak?

Common signs are a warm spot on the floor, the sound of running water when everything is off, carpet or flooring that stays damp with no obvious source, new cracks in walls or baseboards, and a water bill that keeps rising. Any one of these is worth a call in a home built on a slab.

How can I check for a hidden leak myself?

Turn off everything that uses water, read your water meter, and read it again two hours later without using any water. If the reading changed, water is going somewhere. For toilets, put a few drops of food coloring in the tank and wait 10 minutes without flushing. Color in the bowl means the toilet is leaking.

Do you have to break up my floor to fix a slab leak?

Not always. Depending on where the leak is and the condition of the pipe, the fix can be a repair at that spot through the slab or a reroute of the line through the walls or attic. We explain both options, with prices, before anything is opened.

Will my homeowners insurance cover the leak?

That depends on your policy, so check with your insurer before the repair if you plan to file a claim. We photograph the leak and the repair, which gives you a clear record to share with them.
